After several months and 1200 miles later Richard Gonzalez gets a message from his lost dog.
Max the two-year-old Maltese could run, much like Forest Gump, but he could not out run his micro-chip.
Gonzalez reported Max stolen after he disappeared from his daughter’s garden in Florida. Then out of the blue a worker from an animal shelter in Chicago calls to report they have found him.
Another miracle micro chip story. This story would not have had the happy end that it does had Max not been fitted with a microchip. Collars and tags are good, but they have the tendency to get lost, where as a micro chip does not.
Gonzales was planning to pickup Max this weekend, although finding the funds was proving an issue as he had lost his job recently. If you haven’t had your family pet “chipped” it is something you should seriously consider.
